04F · Terminations

Our range of high voltage cable accessories comprises cable joints, connectors to switchgear and transformers as well as outdoor terminations. And within each of those categories we provide a choice of products that gives you plenty of technical flexibility.

04F1 :: Heat-Shrinkable Terminations up to 123 kV

The heat‑shrinkable terminations are suitable for all climates, areas, and environments, even severely polluted areas, as well as for all installation conditions, including top feed installation.

04F2 :: Outdoor Terminations up to 550 kV

The termination is designed for voltage classes up to 550 kV and to operate under severe environmental conditions. Polymeric insulated cables of various designs can be adopted with respect to shielding and metal sheath. Composite housings with different creepage lengths up to 50 mm/kV are available for the most common and also extreme pollution levels according to IEC 60071‑1 and IEC 60071-2.

04F3 :: Dry Compact Switchgear & Transformer Terminations up to 550 kV

The dry compact switchgear termination for voltage classes up to 550 kV is designed to be installed in cable entry housings of gas-insulated switchgear (GIS). It complies with IEC 62271-209 standard, which essentially specifies the interfaces between the termination and the switchgear. The termination operates in SF6 but also in insulating liquids like transformer oil. A corona shield at the top of the termination then provides the necessary shielding for the terminal. The termination is easily separable and consists of a plug-in part and an epoxy resin insulator. The insulator can be installed by the GIS or transformer manufacturer directly at the factory, saving installation time on-site and reducing the risk of contamination of the cable entry housing.

04F4 :: Dry Type & Oil Filled Outdoor Termination up to 245 kV

The different versions of the dry flexible outdoor termination THV are designed for operating voltage from 72.5 up to 245 kV.

04F5 :: Dry Compact Switchgear & Transformer Terminations up to 245 kV

The dry compact switchgear termination for voltage classes up to 245 kV is designed to be installed in cable entry housings of gas-insulated switchgear (GIS). It complies with IEC 62271-209 standard, which essentially specifies the interfaces between the termination and the switchgear. 04F6 :: Screened Separable Terminations 72.5 kV

The Separable Connectors portfolio is designed to meet the technical and economic challenges of offshore wind farms, offshore substations and the next generation of solar farms. They are compatible with the switchgear and transformers for interface bushing F including SIEMENS ENERGY Blue GIS with Clean Air and fit easily in the limited space of the latest compact switchgear.

04F7 :: Dry Inner-Cone Joint up to 145 kV

The Dry High Voltage Plug-in Inner Cone Joints are designed for up to 145 kV voltage offshore and onshore applications. They are compatible with EPR and XLPE cables, independent of the manufacturer, and can be adapted to the grounding required for various cable constructions. The complete system consists of the epoxy insulator part and the plug-in parts. Those joints can be installed horizontally or vertically and are equipped with fixation points to mount on a rack or wall. The back-to-back design allows different types of cables to connect in a transition joint and can be assembled and disassembled quickly for testing purposes.
